More Than a Classroom: The Heart of Footprints of Hope School
In the rural heartlands of Mkushi, Zambia, stands a school built not of bricks alone, but of love, resilience, and purpose. Footprints of Hope School is more than just an educational institution, it is a sanctuary for children facing immense adversity
Founded by Dora Moono Nyambe in 2019, the school was born out of an urgent need: children, especially girls, were dropping out of school or never attending due to poverty, forced marriage, and neglect. Dora, determined to change this, started with a few kids under a tree. Today, over 500 students receive daily education, meals, and mentorship.
Every classroom echoes with joy, every meal served is a shield against hunger, and every lesson is a stand against injustice. Girls who were once at risk of being married off before their teenage years are now dreaming of becoming doctors, teachers, and leaders.
Footprints of Hope School provides:
-
Free education for the most vulnerable
-
Protection from child marriage
-
A nurturing environment with emotional support
-
Healthy meals twice a day
-
Access to school supplies and hygiene products
When you support our school, you’re not only building a better today for our students. You’re rewriting their futures.
“ What we offer isn’t just literacy, it’s liberation. Help us keep the classroom open and full of dreams. ”
