Dora Moono Nyambe: The Woman Who Gave Everything
When Dora Moono Nyambe first arrived in Mapapa Village, many thought she was lost. She wasn’t. She had found her calling.
Dora, a teacher by profession and humanitarian by heart, left behind a life of comfort to fight child marriage, educate abandoned children, and build a village of hope from the ground up. She lived simply, often giving away everything she had so others could eat, learn, and thrive.
Using her platform on TikTok, she connected with millions around the world. Through her videos, people learned about the plight of rural Zambian children. More than that, they witnessed something remarkable — what radical love and kindness can do.
Through her tireless efforts, Dora:
-
Rescued dozens of girls from forced marriages
-
Fostered over 200 children
-
Raised funds to feed and educate 500+ kids
-
Built a school and safe home from nothing but a dream
Her untimely passing on Christmas morning in 2024 shocked the world. But her legacy didn’t end there — it lives on in every child who now dares to hope, in every volunteer who joins our mission, and in every act of kindness done in her name.
Dora believed in people. She believed in you.
